In For Staying, nylons are examined as a prosthetic to keep two people together. This essay examines the inevitable fragility and the durability of our interpersonal relationships.

She’s So Sweet

 

She’s sweet, but why is femininity linked to sweetness, to delicateness, to soft lighting and sparkly textures? Why does every yogurt ad show cut fruit and women? This series uses aesthetic photography niches around femininity and explores sweetness through portraiture. Are these subjects sweet, do they speak in the language of the feminine?
